Denver Christkindl Market
The annual Denver Christkindl Market is an offspring from the traditional Christmas markets in Germany, which are traced back to the 14th century. There is a longstanding history for this festival and it shouldn’t disappoint you if you’re looking to try something new.
One of the enjoyments found at this venue is the ability to wine and dine on some of the more culturally diverse foods Europe has to offer. To name a couple, there will be danish pastries, a brat haus, and even Kaiser Bakery’s renowned pretzels. That simply isn’t it though, you are definitely going to want to visit the food venues onsite.
Another thing we’re mentioning is the wine, the Christkindl mug bearers typically visit the Gluehwein merchant annually to get their hands on the new year’s design, these aren’t steins though. The wine alone is nice enough to go down on a cool winter night.
The Denver Christkindl Market is hosted by the German American Chamber of Commerce in Colorado and sponsored by Mercedes-Benz and Bank of America. The event is held within the Central Business District of Downtown Denver.
If you’re planning on driving to the venue yourself, anticipate a short search for parking as there isn’t a designated lot for parking. It shouldn’t be hard to find an open space for metered parking.
